Friday in Portonovi brought the colors of Spain and notes of Sweden
That Portonovi resort, in addition to its great tourist offer, is a place that brings together world-renowned painters, who can present their works to a wider audience on the Herzegovina Riviera, was shown last night when the painter Đurđica Đurić presented her paintings and sculptures to a large audience. The works of the artist who has lived and worked in Spain for more than 20 years are exhibited in the Pizana Gallery, the cultural oasis of Portonovo.
Through interesting abstraction of reality, dominantly strong colors, through works that talk about the positive side of life, Đurđica Đurić, as she said, brought the spirit of Spain to Montenegro.
"In Portonovi, I am exhibiting my works for the second time, and for me it is a great pleasure and honor. The first time, when Portonovi started to work, I presented my paintings and sculptures, today at this exhibition you can see the clothes on which I translated my works. So this exhibition of paintings is connected with the pieces of clothing I worked on, and the characters that can now be found in my paintings are part of this fashion creativity", said Đurđica.
"Art in all its forms is on display in our gallery from tonight. Đurđica has been researching human faces for a long time, which over time have grown into very interesting sculptures, unusual, marked by strong colors," she said.
After the opening of the exhibition, all visitors together with the artist took part in a performance, when they had the opportunity to try out their painting skills on canvas.
The director of marketing and communications in Portonovo, Adrijana Husić, believes that the exhibitions organized by the Pizana gallery are not only important for the mentioned resort, but also for Montenegro as a destination.
"This is one of the ways in which we position ourselves and attract some new guests, not only to the resort but also to Bok. We are particularly pleased that this year we did not only host local authors, which is what Pisana is known for, and simply inherit that spirit somewhere, but we had the opportunity to host international guests. Pisa is the heart of Portonovi, and it has been proven since 2019, when Portonovi started operating," she said.
After the opening of the exhibition, on the beautiful Portonova Marina square, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the Swedish group Abba, an ABBA Symphonic Tribute Show was arranged for all present, when numerous guests enjoyed well-known tracks such as "Mamma Mia", "Dancing Queen", "Super Trouper" and others.
The ABBA Symphonic Tribute Show performed for the first time in Montenegro, ind there were over 40 musicians on stage who performed hits for almost 5,000 visitors in Portonovi.
